Our Services

As a manufacturers’ representative agency, we choose industry leaders in each area of construction to present our Architects, GC’s, Roofers and Building Owners. We value the relationships we have built throughout the past 30+ years. You can trust that we bring our decades of experience, business ethics, and product knowledge to each project we’re involved with.

Commercial Forensic Roof Evaluations

If you have recently acquired, or are responsible for the roofing on your building and need to learn all you can about the current situation, a Forensic Roof Evaluation is strongly recommended. During this evaluation, our experienced team with identify the existing roof types, approximate the remaining life of the roof, extract a core sample to identify the roof deck, existing insulation, and R-Value and how many layers of roof systems are in place. We’ll also be able to determine the fastener type and spacing required for your project by performing a fastener pull out test on your existing roof deck. Finally, we will measure the roof and estimate budget figures.

Budget Planning

Never have we ever encountered a project that didn’t have a budget, and we bet you haven’t either!  Whether your gymnasium needs acoustics, or your roof needs a new skylight, we can help you create an accurate budget to work with.

Value Engineering

Getting the best products for the project without overpaying is a major goal of every architect, general contractor, roofer, and building owner. Our extensive experience in the construction industry makes us an excellent choice to assist you in getting high-quality, cost-efficient results.

Life Cycle Cost Analysis

Buying a new roof is typically a large investment. There are numerous factors to consider when deciding which roof system to choose for your new building or for your upcoming roof replacement.  In addition to the initial costs, take into account the costs to maintain the roof, expected repair costs, whether there is a potential for energy savings and if the installation of the roof will disrupt your business. The experts at Engineered Systems of Michigan can walk you through the process to help you determine the best choice for your unique roofing situation.

Pre-Bid and Scope of Work

Developing a scope of work is a major part of every project management. It is important to be clear and concise about the current roof condition, square footage, types of roofing materials to be used, the plans for removing and disposing of the old roof, warranty options, timelines, and a payment schedule. Engineered Systems of Michigan can help you fine tune the roofing component details to ensure the accuracy of the scope of work.

Lunch-N-Learn Presentations

Many of the manufacturers we work with offer AIA CEU credits for continuing education. We will bring our knowledge, lunch for your team, and an educational presentation about a wide variety of industry topics. Reach out to us to learn more, email esofmi@gmail.com.

Interior Acoustic Reverb Tests

Reverberation is the overall effect of reflected sound and the time required for reflected sound to become inaudible. Short reverberation times are good for speech intelligibility, leading to better understanding and comprehension. Reach out to ESMI and we’ll perform a Reverb test and recommend an acoustic solution to improve your space.

Assistance in Spec Development

We know how important developing accurate specifications are for any project. We invite you to work with ESMI to develop the specifications for roofing, cladding, acoustics and soundproofing.
